Welcome to Home Grown Sweets! We hope you will join us as we work to turn our vision into a cherished part of the Johnson County community.

Ever since we first met, my husband and I have dreamed of turning our love for sweets and local cafes into a bakery that brings our community together. After 15 years of working in the restaurant industry, we are ready to finally start this journey. In the future, we envision a homey café and bakery where families can gather and feel a nurturing sense of home—a cottage-style café with a large garden where families can unwind. A place where lunch with friends feels like a mini vacation, and where the staff welcomes you like family. While we are eager to make this dream a reality, we recognize that anything worth having takes time and love to grow. We want to start by getting to know this community we now call home. We thought, what better way to do so than by serving our neighbors the best part of any good celebration—cake! Whether your celebration calls for understated elegance or a little extra whimsy, we are here to help create something just right for YOU. With each creation, we welcome the opportunity to begin fostering that sense of community—the seed that our dream depends on.
